It was a well-pitched game from both sides. The game was tied 2-2 going into the 7th, then Carl Pavano gave up two runs to give the Yankees a two-run lead. However, on the Yankees, Andy Pettite pitched 7 innings of 2 run ball, almost exactly what the Yankees needed. To give the Yankees a 1 run advantage in the 5th, Lance Berkman hit a solo HR. He had a great game as he doubled as well. Orlando Hudson then tied the game in the sixth with a solo blast of his own. In the seventh inning, Berkman hit his double to drive in Posada, and Jeter hit an RBI single, driving in Berkman. The Yankees added an insurence run it the ninth, and that's how it ended. 5-2 Yankees, and a two game lead in the series.
