Celtics Heat Opening Day Preview

Ok! The wait is almost over. In about 26.5 hours, the Celtics will open up their 2010-2011 season against LeBron and the Heat.

Good news for the Celtics! The only player on the injury report is Jermaine O'Neal. However, he expects to play. The Heat is the exact opposite. They have a coupple injuries to take care of.

Below is the Celtics and Heat injury reports:

Mario Chalmers Day-to-Day Oct 25
Comment: Chalmers (ankle) will begin the year as Miami's backup point guard, the Palm Beach Post reports.

Comment: Chalmers (ankle) missed practice Saturday, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel's Ira Winderman reports.

Dwyane Wade OUT Oct 23
Comment: Wade (hamstring) returned to practice Saturday, reports the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Mike Miller OUT Oct 22
Comment: Miller (thumb) underwent surgery to repair a fracture and torn ligament in his right thumb Friday, reports Ethan Skolnick of the Palm Beach Post. He will be in a cast for four weeks, and isn't expected back on the court until January.

Dwyane Wade OUT Oct 21
Comment: Coach Erik Spoelstra has not committed to Wade (hamstring) being available for Tuesday's season opener against Boston, the South Florida Sun-Sentinel's Ira Winderman reports. "He's not going to be the only voice in that discussion," Spoelstra said. "Obviously, our trainers will have their say."
