WORLD SERIES RECAP- GAME 1

Something happened to Cliff Lee last night, my friends. If you compare his former postseason starts to last night's start, you knock off the s and the t off "start" and add an f. Fart. That's exactly what Cliff Lee pitched last night, and Tim Lincecum really didn't pitch better. Both teams allowed the offenses to get to them. They allowed hard hit balls in every direction, and both offenses just kept producing. Lee won't be able to rely on his fastball in Game 4 or Game 5, because the Giants are clearly seeing it well and pulling it as needed. The Giants got a lot of cheap hits off Lee, with a Buster Posey bloop tying the game in the third. They took what they could get, and when Lee got the hook, Juan Uribe took advantage of a supremely awful Darren O Day pitch and hit a three run blast. In the ninth, Brian Wilson allowed 2 runs to the Giants on a two run double by Nelson Cruz. But he ended the night on the Rangers by inducing a pop fly to shallow right. Not the usual dominant Wilson. I don't see the future; I just make these recaps, but my guess is that we'll see Wilson, like Brad Lidge last year, implode once this World Series.
