Rangers vs. Rays Game 5 recap

To get things started, Elvis Andrus singles, stole two bases, and scored on a groundball to the pitcher by Josh Hamilton. 1-0 Rangers after 1. In the Rays half of the first inning, Jason Bartlett led things off with a single. But, he was stranded there. Nothing going for the Rangers or Rays in the second. Bengie Molina stranded on second as Price battles through jam in the 3rd. Rays score in bottom half of the inning thanks to Zobrist's single, driving in Sean Rodriguez. Cruz doubles, makes his way around the bases to score in the 4th, 2-1 Rangers. Lee silences the Rays, striking out the side in the 4th. No action for the Rangers in the top half of the 5th. Rays strand Bartlett, trail 2-1 at the end of 5. Rangers capitilaze and it is now 3-1 Rangers. Cliff Lee is shutting the Rays bats down. 3-1 Rangers at the end of 6. In the 7th and 8th inning, there are no scores, however Cliff Lee is pitching a gem, going 8 innings throwing one run ball. Rangers add on two more insurance runs in the top half of the ninth thanks to Ian Kinsler's HR, which drives in Nelson Cruz. Cliff Lee soars to the finish, and pitches a beautiful 1 run game with 11 strikeouts. Congrats Rangers, you are going to the ALCS!!
