Celtics defeat Bucks; Pierce hits a milestone

I wonder what was going through Paul Pierce's mind when he stepped up to the free-throw line. He knew-A- He had a total of 19,999 points in his career, and if he got the golden number, 20,000, he would be joining an elite club. The other members of the 20,000 for the Celtics are HOF players Larry Bird and John Havlicheck. B- Paul Pierce was about to seal the game for the Celtics, for there were about 13 seconds left and the C's were up by 3 points. If he hit the free throw, the milestone and the game would be complete.
The fact that he didn't collapse was amazing, with the pressure that was like the world on Paul Pierce's back. He swished the free throw, and the Celtics faithful let him know that. Pierce raised his shaking hands to the air, and the crowd was cheering, just for him, just for that one free throw. He recalled later- it was "amazing" and tough to swallow". He drilled the second one, and the Celtics defeated the Bucks.

Doc's comment on Twitter on Pierce's achievement-"20,000 is phenomenal. It's awesome. 36 players in NBA history, that's amazing."
