13 of 16 is not bad. I honestly did not see the Bills beating up on KC, and the Washington vs. New York pick was a little bit unexpected. I thought Cleveland would handle the Bengals and their awful defense, but I guess they couldn't.
Week One leading passer- Tom Brady (517 yards)
Week One leading rusher- Darren McFadden (150 yards)
Week One leading receiver- Steve Smith (178 yards)
Honorable Mentions- WR Wes Welker (160 yards, two TD's- 99 Yard TD pass from Tom Brady), RB Lesean McCoy (15 rush, 122 yards, 1 TD, 15 receiving yards, 1 TD) and rookie Cam Newton (422 yards, 2 TD's, 18 rush yards, 1 TD)
Quarterbacks and returnmen reigned supreme during Week 1. Here are some of the record-setting numbers:
7842- The total passing yards in Week 1, an average of 245 per team.
906- Yards that the Patriots' Tom Brady and the Dolphins' Chad Henne combined for in Monday night's matchup.
14- Quarterbacks who passed for more than 300 yards.
8- Return touchdowns, five on punts and three on kickoffs. The 49ers'Ted Ginn Jr. had one of each.
5- Games with a pair of 300-yard passers.
