With rumors surfacing this morning that DeMarcus Cousins is set to be traded (he "has demanded to be traded" according to his coach, Paul Westphal). I've done some preliminary work trying to find a suitable trade. ESPN's NBA Trade Machine clears these:
Cleveland trades Luke Harongody and Anderson Varejao to the Kings
Sacramento trades DeMarcus Cousins to the Cavaliers
and
Cleveland trades Alonzo Gee and Anderson Varejao to the Kings
Sacramento trades DeMarcus Cousins to the Cavaliers
The Harongody trade brings both teams a nearly equal result, but the Gee trade has the Cleveland losing out big. I might agree, do to Gee's above-league average player efficiency rating.
